Lights, crackers & lots of shopping!

The festive feel in the city has begun and the Diwali feel can be felt in the local markets. It is that time of the year when I am more than excited to shop for home and to enjoy every bit of this festival of lights. I like checking & picking up everything from lights to decorations personally to ensure my house looks most wonderfully lit 🙂

So my shopping has started. The spree started from the Crawford Market . It was so exciting to see the variety of lights available here. The streets and then sub streets were full of brightly lit colorful lights, electric diyas, torans with lights and so much more decoration for the festival.

It is so wonderful to see the spirit and spark in the people and specially kids when they step out in the market to shop for the festivals.

The markets in the town however are yet to enter the festive mood but you will definitely enjoy the beautifully decorated showrooms on the South Mumbai streets.

Have you started you Diwali shopping yet? Do tell me the best places to go and shop this season for the festival. 🙂
